Maysa's Macarona bil béchamel Recipe


Ingredients:
-3 lbs of ground beef
-3 medium chopped onions

Sauce:
-3/4 pound of butter
-12 heaping tablespoons of flour
-950 g of Penne macaroni
-2 litres of milk

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees 
2.In large pan mix beef with onions and pepper (to taste) until beef is brown
3.When meat is cooked, add salt to taste
4.Add 1 cup of water to the meat and cover. Set aside

Bechamel Sauce
1.In a large sauce pan, melt butter completely
2.At medium heat slowly add flour to melted butter one spoonful at a time to make a roux. 
3.Continuously stir the roux until the flour and butter are completely mixed and the flour slightly changes colour.
4.Add one cup of milk at a time while continuously stirring the sauce.
5.When the milk begins to boiladd salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about 30 minutes or until béchamel thickens.
6.Boil water to make macaroni.
7.Once béchamel cools,add beaten eggs mixed with salt and pepper and mix until completely combined.
8.Place a little oil in a large pan
9.Add macaroni, meat (use judgment on how much) and three ladles of béchamel sauce and mix together. Shake pan to evenly distribute the pasta. Pour the remaining béchamel sauce in thepan and placein oven.
10.Bake for 45 minutes or until the edges are a little brown then put it under the broiler to completely brown the top for a few minutes.
